We are working with Walton Economic Development Alliance executive director, Uriah Matthews, regarding a new program that highlights conservation land in Walton County. “We want to bring awareness to the vast amount of land already preserved while encouraging future additions to conservation land. The marketing program will tentatively be called Forever Scenic,” says Leigh Moore, executive director of Scenic Walton. At the March 26th BCC meeting, Commissioner Glidewell presented the idea to the Board of County Commissioners. The commissioners expressed support for the concept and directed us to work with staff to bring back a proposed plan for the program for their consideration. We are excited about the possibilities and will keep you posted on the process.
