SCENIC SYMPOSIUM 2026

Registration now open

Sept. 23–24, 2026
Missouri Botanical Garden | St. Louis, Missouri

Be part of the nation’s premier symposium on scenic conservation.

Scenic America and Scenic Missouri invite you to join us Sept. 23–24 at the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Bayer Center in St. Louis for Scenic Symposium 2026, our biennial gathering of advocates, planners, designers, transportation professionals, conservation leaders, and community champions dedicated to protecting and enhancing America’s scenic character.

Over two days, attendees will explore the issues shaping the future of scenic conservation, including scenic byways, utility undergrounding, billboard reform, placemaking, parks and open spaces, and emerging challenges affecting communities across the country. The program will feature presentations, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and guided experiences that showcase one of America’s most celebrated public gardens.

This year’s Symposium will also introduce Scenic America’s inaugural Poster Session, creating a new opportunity for practitioners, researchers, students, organizations, and concerned citizens to share innovative projects, research, policy initiatives, and real‑world success stories advancing scenic conservation. Abstract submissions are currently being accepted through July 17.

Whether you are a longtime Scenic America supporter, a local advocate, a transportation professional, a planner, or simply someone who cares about preserving the beauty and character of our communities, Scenic Symposium 2026 offers a unique opportunity to learn from experts, exchange ideas, and connect with others working toward the same goals.

We hope you’ll join us in St. Louis this September. Register now, and we will send you a confirmation email with a link giving you access to a special group rate for booking lodging at The Royal Sonesta Chase Park Plaza. The hotel is close to the Symposium’s venue, the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Bayer Center.
