Illegal Billboards in Los Angeles County
Over the past several years, Scenic America and Scenic Los Angeles have been tracking and compiling illegal billboards all over Los Angeles County. The two types of illegal billboards identified were billboards without any permits on file, or billboards that were altered without obtaining proper permits. In total, we discovered 894 illegal billboards, 501 of which lacked permits, and 393 that were altered without sufficient permits.
We have also identified the location of these billboards, and have put together a map to show where they are. This map includes both types of illegal billboard, as well as council districts and demographic overlays.
