Help Stop Inglewood From Being Overrun with Even More Digital Signs!

Inglewood is at it again – with over 150 new proposed illegal signs. WOW Media has proposed a new digital kiosk network that would include a total of 60 digital signs and 108 kiosks and digital street displays! Even wilder – these kiosks would be placed directly into the sidewalk AND in the roadway on medians.

Here are the facts:

  • Illegal, Full-Motion: All of the proposed displays are full motion. This digital sign and kiosk network will absolutely violate California state law.
  • Illegal Public Right of Way: The sign placement violates both state and local ordinance.
  • Illegal Spacing: These signs are within 1000 feet of existing signs, which violates existing local ordinances.
  • No Public Oversight: this proposal wasn’t the subject of any public hearings, wasn’t noticed as is required by the development agreement statute and was not adopted by ordinance.
  • Pedestrian and Driver Safety: These displays are clearly a distraction for drivers. Not only that, having signs directly in the sidewalk along Prairie Avenue poses a serious threat to pedestrian safety.

These signs are a bad deal for Inglewood and for Los Angeles County. They serve only the interests of private developers—not the residents who live, work, and drive here every day.
