History

We were founded in 2008 to promote responsible development in Walton County.

Context

Walton County is the fifth-fastest growing county in the country.

Impact

Among our biggest wins: advancing the $6M pedestrian underpass at Inlet Beach.

Our Impact

We advocate for landscaping in our commercial corridors, undergrounding utilities, minimizing cellular infrastructure, promoting pedestrian and cycling facilities, removing litter from public spaces, context-sensitive development, and we fight against the spread of billboards and signage. These steps will enhance our environmental and economic progress, including tourism, while promoting health and quality of life.

Our Community

Walton County is one of the fastest-growing areas in the country, with residential and mixed-use development fueling the growth. Scenic Walton is focused on preserving our natural beauty amid this growth. And we rely on a community of partners and supporters to carry out this important work.
