Scenic America is proud to be a partner in The Journey Through Hallowed Ground Initiative whose mission is to find a  way to balance economic development and historic preservation. This site  follows US Route 15 on a 175-mile course from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, through Frederick County, Maryland and ends in Charlottesville, Virginia.

As you learn along the way, you will celebrate the scenic and historically rich landscape that has been recognized by national historians as the region that holds more American History than any other swath of land in the country. Quite literally, this is Where America Happened.
