It's one of the most despicable acts perpetrated by the billboard industry: the cutting down and removal of the public's trees and shrubs to increase the visibility of billboards! The industry continues to push state legislatures to increase the "view zones" around billboards and allow for ever more trees to be chopped down. There have even been two whistleblowers in Florida who have come forward and said they were ordered to poison trees under the cover of darkness.
